Jeri Wilson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for working with individuals, couples and group’s seeking support with a life transition, a devastating loss, stressful work life or just want to get to a place in their life where they feel like they are thriving. Jeri specializes in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Grief and Bereavement and Improvisational Therapy.
You will be treated in a warm, supportive, non-judgmental environment by a professional with the education and experience to help you learn to live your best life. All you need to do is show up, have faith in yourself.
Jeri graduated with her Master in Social Work from SDSU in 2009. She volunteered, interned and has worked for Sharp Mary Birch Hospital, Parents As Teachers, YMCA Behavioral Health Services, Davita Dialysis and Vive Family Support Program to receive her clinical training. Teens, toddlers, adults and parents are among those that she has supported in the areas of parenting, chronic illness, loss, depression and anxiety.
Jeri has worked with the bereaved and those that support the bereaved for the last 20 years. She is a Safe Sleep, SIDS and Self-Care presenter. She is a member of the Southern California Regional SIDS Council and the Board Vice President of Advocacy and Support with the San Diego Guild for Infant Survival. In 2012, Jeri received the prestigious Senator Daniel E Boatwright Award for “extraordinary public service on behalf of Californians touched by Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.”
Jeri is a lover of all things improv and has been a student/performer/teacher in the field since 2008. Improv is not just about being funny. Improv is a fast becoming one of the tools used by Therapists across the United States to help individuals improve social skills, self-esteem and gain insight into themselves.
