Frequently Asked Questions

I hope I’ve answered all your questions here. If you still need answers, just let me know.

Do you take insurance?

At this time, I do not take insurance. Cash, check or credit/debit cards are all accepted. The challenge with billing medical insurance is for the client there is usually a maximum amount of sessions you can see your therapist which means that you are limited in the time you have to receive support. Most people also don’t want their employer, or insurer, to have on record that they sought counseling because of the negative stigma some of society still has attached to therapy.

What areas do you specialize in?

I specialize in grief/loss, anxiety, depression, parenting, chronic illness, relationships, burn-out/stress and personal growth.

How will we work together?

Every therapy practice, every therapist is different. I encourage you to find a therapist that you feel is a good fit for you. How will you know when you find them? You will feel comfortable getting to know them and you will value their input and feel clearer and more uplifted leaving their office then you did when you came in.

What are your rates?

Rates are $80 an hour. Sliding scale fees are available as well as new client discounts. Speak with Jeri about pricing when you schedule your free consultation call. Learn more.

What makes Therapeutic Coaching different?

Our society has attached a stigma to therapy that keeps people stuck and feeling horrible about themselves. I believe that people don’t need fixing, but we could all benefit from growing. We go at your pace and focus on the issues that you find important in a positive, supportive environment. I focus on your strengths to help you thrive.

How long does therapy take?

The length of therapy is different for every person. This is something we can discuss during our time together. First sessions are always conducted face to face but after that we can meet on the phone or in my office.

How do I make an appointment?

You can call or text 619-922-1815 or email

Where is your office?

My office is in the Banker’s Hill area of San Diego close to Balboa Park and Hillcrest.
